Our 2024 Giving Challenge Story

At the Gulf Coast Partnership, our mission has always been rooted in collaboration, partnership, equity, and impact. As the lead agency for the Charlotte County Continuum of Care, we believe that meaningful change happens when communities unite around a shared purpose. That’s why, during the 2024 Giving Challenge, we chose to shine a light not on ourselves—but on the incredible partners who make this work possible.

Instead of promoting our own initiatives, we handed the microphone to the Charlotte County Youth Action Board (YAB), a dynamic group of young leaders committed to ending youth homelessness and driving community change. Daphnie Toussaint, YAB President and other YAB members took to the streets, phones, and social media feeds to share Breaking News style livestream interviews with frontline leaders, volunteers, and staff from some of Charlotte County’s most impactful nonprofit organizations.

Over the course of the 24-hour challenge, the YAB spotlighted:

Each livestream offered viewers a closer look at the people, passion, and programs behind the nonprofits that uplift our community every day. The goal? To raise awareness, celebrate impact, and drive donations to these incredible organizations participating in the 2024 Giving Challenge.

Our Giving Challenge campaign wasn’t about fundraising for the Gulf Coast Partnership—it was about using our platform to amplify the collective good. By empowering youth leaders to tell authentic stories and connect directly with the community, we helped turn a moment of giving into a movement of unity.

Because when we support each other, everyone rises.

Together We Can ALL Be the One!

We are looking forward to participating in the 2026 Giving Challenge on April 15-16, 2026, from Noon to Noon! Follow our social media posts to stay informed!
