Charlotte County, FL — The Gulf Coast Partnership (GCP) has received a grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to provide essential home repairs for residents whose homes were damaged by recent hurricanes. This funding will directly support Charlotte County residents still navigating the long road to recovery, ensuring that their homes are safe, stable, and livable.
The grant will help cover critical repairs such as roofing, electrical, plumbing, and structural restoration—needs that are often out of reach for households already stretched thin. Priority will be given to low-income families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and households with young children, where the impact of safe housing is especially vital.
“Recovery doesn’t end when the storm passes,” said Angela Hogan, CEO of Gulf Coast Partnership. “Thanks to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, we can help Charlotte County residents return to safe, livable homes and rebuild a stronger, more resilient community.”

In partnership with local contractors, volunteers, and community organizations, Gulf Coast Partnership will coordinate the repair efforts to ensure timely, high-quality support. This initiative reflects a shared commitment between the Gulf Coast Partnership and the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to invest in long-term disaster recovery and strengthen communities across Southwest Florida.
